On the Edge
I was commissioned by the National Glass Centre to make a response to a welsh quilt. I chose ‘Red and White Quilt with Sawtooth Border’, which is in the collection of Jen Jones Welsh Quilts. As soon as I saw this quilt I was fascinated by the sawtooth edge and its lack of symmetry. A complete contrast to the rigid chequerboard central section.
